Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a pan on low-medium heat, add sliced onions and fry until softened and golden, about 15-20 minutes. Add sugar and stir onions, adding in 1/4 cup of wine or water if needed to dissolve the sugar. Leave on low heat until you serve.
- Preheat BBQ to medium high Lightly coat both sides of the burgers in olive oil. Add burgers to BBQ and cook the burgers for 7-9 minutes on each side with the lid closed, or until the center of the burger reaches 165°F/74°C on a meat thermometer.
- Assemble your burger starting with a brioche bun, add 1 tbsp of BBQ sauce, the turkey burger, brie cheese, apple slides, caramelized onions, and a handful of arugula. Serve & enjoy!
