Spaghetti All’Amatriciana with Turkey Ham

Ingredients

1/3 package (100g) Butterball Extra Lean Turkey Ham, diced3 Tbsp olive oil1/2 tsp chili flakes1 red onion, cut into 1 wedges3 Tbsp tomato paste1 cup passata1 cup parmesan, freshly grated1 cup pecorino, freshly grated½ box (175g) Spaghetti

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat olive oil, garlic, and chili flakes over medium. When garlic is browned, remove and add turkey ham and red onion. Stir regularly and increase heat to medium high, cooking for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Add tomato paste, cooking for an additional minute, then add passata. Season with a pinch of salt and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce and simmer sauce until thickened.
  3. Cook spaghetti in a separate pot of salted water. Add some pasta water to your sauce to loosen, then add the cooked spaghetti directly into saucepan with the sauce.
  4. Add cheese and stir until all is combined. Plate each portion and top with more freshly grated cheese. Enjoy!
